10 things to look forward to now
Because the January blues are a bit rubbish really
Chinese New Year- 2012 is the year of the Dragon which is the luckiest year in the Chinese Zodiac. Traditionally it's a year to break rules and achieve ambitions… sounds fabulous to us.
Valentines Day- Loved and loathed in equal measure but definitely worth a look in. If you're in a relationship it's a chance to be spoilt rotten and if you're not then there's no better time to be single and ready to mingle…
The Hunger Games Movie- The number 1 best seller has been made into a movie which is released on March 23rd… check out the trailer here:
Skins coming back- Even though it has gone a bit random, we still love it. And the trailers look… well… there are trailers...see...
Spring and Summer Terms- The Winter term is the longest and the toughest. It's pretty plain sailing from here. Teachers relax and the sun makes everything better. So let's celebrate the fact that the worst is O-V-E-R.
The Queen's Diamond Jubilee- OK, so celebrating Queenie's reign over us might not immediately sound epic but two whole days off school and everyone in a good mood a la The Royal Wedding will certainly come in handy bang in the middle of exam time.
The Olympics- If you are already sick of the sponsored ads and endless banging on about it then brace yourself because things are only going to get worse. However… tens of thousands of tourists traveling all round the country means potentially thousands of hot, foreign boys just waiting to meet an English rose. The possibilities are frankly endless...
The Summer holidays- Start plotting now to make sure this summer is the best and most exciting of your life. Internships, girls holidays, new places, courses or just making memories with friends. Whatever you want this summer to be make this the year you make it happen.
This being your year- Whatever your resolutions were, whatever your fantasies are, however big and crazy and impossible. Take the first steps this year to making them happen. Every dream has to begin somewhere and yours can begin right now. Make a list of things you can do to take those first steps and make sure you do them.
The unknown- Who knows where you'll be at the end of this year. This could be the year aliens that look like Bradley Cooper arrive on earth or that you win the lottery. Anything can happen between now and then and when you think about it that's a pretty mad and exciting thing.
